Goegang Bridge

Ocheon Bike Path

Goegang Bridge (괴강교; map), or “Goe River Bridge,” spans the Dal Stream (달천; map; Dalcheon) near Goesan Town. Once a vehicle bridge, the now-retired structure hosts light displays for cyclists and pedestrians only.

On the bridge’s eastern end, you’ll find the Goegang Bridge Certification Center (괴강교 인증센터; map), where cyclists can stamp their Bike Passports along the Ocheon Bike Path.

Nearby, under the larger and newer bridge of the same name (Goegang Bridge; map), rests the Goegang Light Park, a popular night-time destination with illuminated trails and light displays.

Goegang Light Park

Unveiled in 2023 as part of a regional tourism initiative, Goegang Light Park (괴강불빛공원; map) rests on the eastern banks of the Dal Stream just above the old Goegang Bridge.

The park features scenic walking paths with light installations, including a garden of glowing flowers, vibrant pathways of twinkling lights, and interactive sculptures.

A highlight of the park is its media displays, which project pictures, scenes, and patterns onto Goegang Bridge. These shows blend local history, culture, and music, ranging from K-pop hits to traditional stories.

Historical and Scenic Significance

The Dal Stream, also locally known as Goegang, flows beneath the bridge. Historically, the waterway fed local farms and provided fish for the region. Today, visitors can enjoy views of the river from the bridge and nearby observation decks.
