Uiam Lake Skywalk
The Uiam Lake Skywalk (의암호 스카이워크; map) is a transparent glass walkway extending over Uiam Lake in Chuncheon City (춘천시; map). This 12-meter-high structure offers visitors the sensation of walking on water while enjoying panoramic views of the lake and its surroundings.
The Skywalk stretches approximately 190 meters over Uiam Lake, making it one of the largest transparent walkways in Korea. Its round deck features a glass floor composed of three separate panes, each 1 centimeter thick, providing an unobstructed view of the lake beneath and creating a thrilling experience for visitors.
Located along the Uiamho Bike Path between the Kim Youjeong Memorial Stone and Chuncheon Songam Sports Town, the Skywalk is easily accessible to both cyclists and pedestrians. It connects seamlessly with the water bridge section of the bike path, making it a convenient stop for those exploring the area.
The Skywalk is part of the Chuncheon lakeside trail that connects to other attractions, such as the KT&G Sangsangmadang Chuncheon, a cultural complex offering various art and performance spaces, enhancing the overall visitor experience in the area.
